Let me just say that I love burgers! Like I may have a small obsession with them. I’m pretty sure they were one of my favorite foods even in the womb. Now I don’t make them often myself, but prefer to keep them more of an occasional treat when eating out. By the way – if you’re ever in Southern California you NEED to check out Slater’s 50/50! Their burgers are insane!
I’ve made these maple turkey burgers many times and they are a great option to make during the week. It takes hardly any time to create the patties and you can even form them in advance and keep them in the fridge to cook up later in the evening or the next day. I use 93% lean ground turkey in this recipe and have always had great success, with no problems of the patties drying out. I mix everything together with my hands so the meat doesn’t get overworked and become tough.
Cook these on the stove top in a lightly greased pan. Or try them out on the grill! One thing to note if cooking on a grill, turkey burgers tend to fall apart more easily than beef burgers, so try cooking on top of foil so the patties don’t fall apart by sticking to the grates.

Just think chicken and waffles when in doubt Auntie Roseann. Very similar and applicable to a variety of proteins.

Those sound delicious. I never would have thought about using maple syrup.
