Show your favorite people some love this Feb 14th with these easy Valentine’s treats. This year I made some incredibly delicious Oreo cheesecake truffles that are BOMB.com and decorated some of my super simple cream cheese sugar cookies.
When I was brainstorming Valentine treat ideas I knew I wanted something fun but not overly complicated, that I could fit into my busy work schedule. But it also had to be something my boyfriend would love! He is a major fan of cheesecake and good ol’ Oreos (also one of my personal favs). I had heard about these truffles before and of course with that winning combo I had to give them a shot. Seriously, what’s not to love here? Oreos and cream cheese, enough said!
I’m so happy I did try these truffles out because they were a lot of fun to make but thankfully didn’t take a ton of time. Most of the time indicated in the recipe is actually time these bad boys are just hanging out in the fridge doin’ their thang!

- Total Time: 1 hour 50 mins
- Yield: 35-45 1x
Description
A super easy and popular truffle that is always a winner!
Ingredients
- one package original Oreo’s, about 36 whole cookies
- 8oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups (16oz) semi-sweet chocolate (chips or baking bar)
Instructions
- Place whole Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. (Or place in large ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin).
- Reserve 1/4 cup of crumbs. Combine remaining crumbs with cream cheese and mix until thoroughly combined.
- Roll into tablespoon sized balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Freeze for 30 min.
- Melt chocolate slowly in the microwave (in 15 – 20 sec intervals) or over a double boiler, stirring frequently, until smooth. Dip frozen truffles into the melted chocolate and place back on the wax paper. Top with sprinkles or reserved cookie crumbs. Refrigerate or freeze 1 hour or until firm.

The next item on my list was to whip up a batch of Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies. The dough literally comes together in minutes and then patiently waits in the fridge until you’re ready to roll, cut, and bake. You could stop here and call it a day with yummy cookies but I had my mind set on this white and gold look so I opted for a quick dip in royal icing and a splatter of gold luster dust. This was actually my first time using luster dust and it was so much easier than I originally thought. Even just doing the subtle splatter effect I was super happy with the results. Certainly going to be using this stuff again soon!
Quick Royal Icing:
1 1/2 TBS meringue powder
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
4-6 TBS water
Beat all ingredients together until peaks form. Gradually add more water until you reach the desired consistency, about 1 tsp at a time.
Since I knew I wanted to dip these cookies instead of piping the icing I went for a very runny icing that would quickly cover a larger surface area. Let the icing dry completely before adding the luster dust.
Here’s to spending time with friends, family, significant other, furry friend 🐶, your cool-ass self or whoever puts a smile on your face!
Happy V Day! ❤️

The cookies look so professional and too good to eat. I’m making a batch for Lily & RJ using a similar recipe. I know they won’t look as nice but wish me luck.
